All children enrolled in our 18 to 36 month toddler program will participate in a hands-on learning environment. Individual discovery and self-help skills are encouraged while maintaining a positive and safe environment for each child. Teachers will assist in the continued formation of friendships through small group activities. Pre-school readiness skills are taught through creative hands-on stimulation. Our educational curriculum will encourage and prepare the children to enter a preschool program at 3 years of age. Little Learners on Campus’ Toddler program is designed upon individual learning needs. The curriculum will be multi-faceted, providing opportunities for the development of social and emotional skills, physical skills and language skills, gross and fine motor skills, perceptual and cognitive readiness, accompanied by sound health and good nutritional practices. Safety will be stressed. Through teacher/child interaction, children will learn language and problem-solving skills. Children will be offered a rich assortment of varied activities in order to give them the opportunity to make choices. Choice of activities will alternate between quiet and active play, both indoors and outdoors, in order to keep children stimulated, interested and relaxed. Self-toileting skills will be introduced through the nurturing guidance of staff personnel.
